Our history

Olá, Portugal! Our first project outside Spain. The building, which is very emblematic in the city, has a marvellous three-street façade made of blue mosaics. Rebuilt under the influence of English neo-Palladianism, once the Praça de Ribeira was connected to Rua Sao Joao in the second half of the 18th century, it follows the trend of the nearby English Feitoria, English commercial establishments for the trade of the famous Portuguese Port wine.

Located next to the Praça de Ribeira, on the banks of the Douro River, it is considered the oldest district of Porto, classified by UNESCO in 1996 as a World Heritage Site.

Crazy location in the centre of Barcelona, between the intersections of Avenida Diagonal and Paseo de Gracia, the city's two main thoroughfares. Just a stone's throw from all those destinations that any traveller would like to visit in the heart of the city.

It is part of L'Eixample, the modernist district par excellence and the neighbourhood of the Sagrada Familia. It meant the opening up of Barcelona, following the plan of the engineer Ildefons Cerdà, beyond its walls at the end of the 19th century, with a layout of straight, wide, elegant streets and the peculiar octagonal-shaped blocks.

Our Moroccan adventure begins in magical Marrakech, in the heart of its impressive Medina. Founded by the Almoravids in 1062, it preserves a cityscape that reflects the rich Arab heritage in its labyrinthine, colourful and energetic narrow streets, having been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.

And in the heart of the Medina, and within walking distance of the bustling and emblematic square of Yamaa el-Fna, you will find our beautiful Riad, built in the Moroccan tradition with the rooms around a large central courtyard, and which has been recognised and awarded as one of the best premium hostels in Africa.

Commissioned by Péter and Emil Kovald in 1901, this eclectic five-storey building, where TCH Budapest will be located, was originally built as a factory. The two upper floors were added in 1901, the same year it was built, during a refurbishment. In both cases, Mészner and Arndt were the builders who carried out the project. Subsequently the building has functioned for many years as an office building.

Its location, 300 metres from the legendary New York Café, offers one of the most attractive locations to discover Budapest as it is located in District VII - Erzsébetváros, the most vibrant and culturally diverse district of the city, which perfectly combines the historical charm with the contemporary energy of the Hungarian capital.

The site on which TCH Seville will be located was an industrial building built in 1969, which was occupied by the Telefónica company, until its demolition in 2024, for the development of a new TCH hostel, which is scheduled to open in 2026.

A hostel designed to experience Seville from the inside, with the comfort of being right in the heart of it all. It is not just a place to sleep, it is another piece of the Sevillian soul with a design that draws directly from the essence of the city and with an aesthetic that integrates naturally into the historic centre. Here the modern blends with the authentic, creating a space that breathes neighbourhood, history and local life.

TCH Córdoba is living history of the city. Project developed by TCH in the heart of the historic centre, bordering the old Arab wall of the Axerquia, built at the beginning of the 11th century, which surrounds part of the historic centre of the city. The project envisages bringing part of the façade, currently hidden, to the surface for the enjoyment of tourists and the people of Cordoba. TCH Cordoba expects to open its doors by the end of 2027.

Cordoba, known worldwide for its enormous Mosque dating back to 784 AD, is the only city in the world with 4 inscriptions on the World Heritage List granted by UNESCO: 1984 - La Mezquita Catedral, 1994 - Centro histórico, 2012 - Fiesta de los Patios and 2018 - Medina Zahara.

In Istanbul, a city that beats between two continents and breathes centuries of history, the Wabi Sabi Hostel is housed in a historic building with character and soul that has been completely renovated.

Located in the Taksim district, one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Istanbul in the modern part of the city. Taksim Square (Taksim Meydani) is located in the European part of the city, in an important commercial, tourist and entertainment district which, due to the square's great importance in the city, is a favourite venue for public events and social celebrations. Taksim Square is an area full of bars, restaurants and some of the city's most luxurious hotels. From the square emerges one of the city's main shopping arteries, Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), a pleasant pedestrian street where many of Istanbul's major shopping brands are located.

A very special stop in Valencia! A project that arrives at a unique moment and opens the doors to a vibrant city, full of life and with unmistakable energy. Just steps away from the iconic Central Market of Valencia, this hostel occupies an iconic late 19th-century building, with a protected facade that preserves all the character of traditional architecture. Its main lobby and elegant staircase in the common areas connect us with the building's history, while its recent renovation and opening in October 2025 make it a space ready to welcome travelers from day one.

Entering the center of Valencia is not easy, and precisely for that reason this project has special value. Not only because of its privileged location in the heart of the city, but also because it is born as an active asset already in operation, licensed and equipped, something unusual in such a demanding market. The intervention has been light but careful, focused on adapting the space to the style and standards of The Central House, enhancing the experience without losing its essence. Thus, TCH Valencia – Mercado Central is born, a place designed to enjoy, share, and live Valencia from within.
