At The Central House we believe that sustainability is also built with people. Our social commitment embraces both our team and local communities, creating shared value and generating positive impact on a day-to-day basis.
Social commitment
Sustainability in action and our green commitment
At The Central House we believe that travel is not only about discovering destinations, but also about leaving a positive footprint along the way. Our commitment to sustainability stems from the idea that every accommodation can be a responsible home: comfortable, accessible and respectful of the environment and our host communities.
As a sign of this path towards responsible and respectful construction, our hostel in Madrid has achieved the international BREEAM certification, which rewards responsible management and the positive impact on both the construction and the day-to-day running of the building.
We look to the future with the commitment that each of our spaces will evolve under criteria that will allow us to advance in our four lines of action:

We promote work-life balance, lifelong learning and a safe and healthy environment.
Initiatives that generate a real impact: solidarity projects, space concessions, neighbourhood associations, etc.
We remove physical, digital and sensory barriers and train our team in inclusive care so that every person can feel part of the TCH community.
We collaborate with organisations such as the Red Cross, encouraging our employees to participate in volunteer programmes.
